Second suspect in workplace murder identified

secondsuspectSugar Land Police have identified the second man wanted in connection with the work place murder on March 18.

Daniel Castaneda-Gomez, 18, of Houston is wanted for questioning in the mid-March murder of Marlon Alexander Palencia Castaneda at Global Casework Manufacturing, a business located in Sugar Land.

On that morning, Palencia Castaneda, 33, of Houston was at work in the shop area of the business when Castaneda-Gomez, and Huver Oregon-Reyes, approached him, argued, then shot him once in the chest and ran out. A dragnet was set up but the two had gotten away.

Through work with the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force Oregon-Reyes was taken into custody in Denton, Texas by US Marshalls just days later. He has since been returned to Fort Bend County to face murder charges. Police are still looking for Daniel Castaneda-Gomez. No motive has been released.
