FOLLOWUP ON “SUPERMAN”: My “resources” tell me that “Superman” lives in Quail Valley and his “excursions usually happen on Thursdays.
WILL THERE BE SENIOR APARTMENTS? Sorry to disappoint you but there is not enough room behind Wells Fargo Bank (Hampton @ FM 1092.) Initially, the developer planned to have skilled nursing & senior independent apartments (3 story) & patio homes. However, the skilled nursing buildings and patio home plats were apparently larger than originally planned, leaving no room for the senior apartment building.
YOU HAD BETTER BE CAREFUL! (If you are fortunate enough to not need a handicap tag hanging on your rearview mirror, think twice!) Next time you are in a hurry and pull into a handicap parking space for just a “few minutes” (to mail a letter or pick up milk & bread), envision a $100 bill floating away out of your hand up into the sky. AND, if this is not your “first” citation, it could be more!
DO YOU HAVE SOME “EXTRA CHANGE?” There are 166 Marines and Sailors just deployed to Afghanistan and they are in an “isolated” area where they have limited access to supplies. Thanks to a volunteer group of MOMS “each month” 140 + care packages filled with “requested” items from our troops are purchased and packed with the help of members of QV Exchange Club. Once sent it takes 10 to 14 days to arrive at the location of these troops. Can you just imagine how excited they are when those packages arrive!!! Items we take for granted, they are like “gold” to them. Imagining going without soap! UCK!
ONLY FOR TROOPS IN “HARMS WAY”: Please make a donation to support this monthly project. Go to: www.TipOfTheSpear.org and their Face Book Page for pictures and current projects. This is a 100% volunteer, 501(c)(3) organization. Your donations go directly to “our” troops!
