Chris Johnson Foundation to host 1st Annual 5k Run/Walk May 31
The Chris Johnson Foundation will be hosting the 1st Annual 5K Run/Walk, Saturday, May 31, at Sugar Land Memorial Park, large pavilion, 15300 University Blvd., Sugar Land. Registration/check-in is from 7:30 a.m.- 8:25 a.m.; Runner’s start -8:30 a.m.; walkers start 8:35 a.m. The 1st Annual 5K Run/Walk is open to the public.
Chris Johnson,(CJ) 39, a Richmond resident, passed away due to a rare and aggressive kidney cancer known as Renal Medullary Carcinoma (RMC). This cancer is a silent killer, no symptoms until it is full blown. Chris was active in sports when he noticed blood in his urine, he lived 15 months after his diagnosis with this disease. Before he passed away he asked his mother, Ritchie, to get this information out to the public.
