On The Rocks Bartender Challenge winner named
The 11th Annual Sugar Land Wine & Food Affair took flight last Thursday night at the Sugar Land Regional Airport’s Anson Aviation during the Hendrick’s Gin On the Rocks Bartender Challenge!
Five of Houston’s top mixologists, including Luis Villegas of El Big Bad; Leslie Ross of Triniti; Nathan Reffell of Lei Low Rum Lounge; Sheridan Fay of El Big Bad and Triniti; and Blake Jorgensen of Prohibition Craft of Cocktails battled out in a heated competition.
In the end, guest judges deemed Sheridan Fay’s “Explorer’s Seaside Tipple” the winner, which was crafted with Hendrick’s Gin, Cucumber water, Rose Hip Syrup, Sea Salt Foam and topped with a sage cucumber ribbon garnish.
Sheridan walked away with a grand prize of $1,000, along with her creative cocktail being named The Official Cocktail of the 11th Annual Sugar Land Wine & Food Affair – which was served at the Grand Tasting, Sip & Stroll, and at the Bistro Brunch.
While the 200 guests strolled amongst the hangar’s private planes and sipped on their Hendrick’s Gin cocktails, they also enjoyed light bites from BLU Restaurant | Lounge.
