One Way Pairs Project is not the will of the people
When deciding on the one way pairs, here are ideas to really fear.
Now that Fort Bend county and TxDot are free to sidestep the citizens, subvert the will of the people, and disregard our special election, I suppose they could proclaim an edict making themselves our supreme rulers for life and over all things.
Where are Mayor Morales and Commissioner Morrison to investigate this assault on democracy against our citizenry? Make a note of this, the one way pairs will come into existence as it will run down Ave H and Ave I because big money wants it there.
This is a reminder to us about how important it is to make our voices heard. We have a right to have a say and know what our government is doing. Exercising our right to vote gives us, the citizens power. We can send these politicians a message that we don’t have to take this anymore. We want our city back!
In a democracy, agreement isn’t always essential. Participation is! A low voter turnout is expected.
On Election Day, let’s all stand together with our fellow citizens and help make democracy work.
Vote in the May 10 special election not to donate city owned property for the one way street pairs in Rosenberg.
Ultimately, we hold the key to our future. The choice is yours.
