Elizabeth Thompson from Missouri City graduates at Brenau University’s 2014 Commencement

Elizabeth M. Thompson from Missouri City,  graduated from Brenau University with a Master of Fine Arts during the 135th anniversary commencement ceremonies May 2 and 3.

Founded in 1878, Brenau University enrolls students in graduate and undergraduate studies on campuses and online. The Gainesville, Ga.-based liberal arts institution, which includes the residential Brenau Women’s College.

The Princeton Review routinely lists Brenau among the Southeast’s best colleges and universities. Brenau offers doctorate and terminal M.F.A. degrees, as well as – in more than 50 areas of study – a range of master’s, bachelor’s and associate’s degrees and professional certifications.

The Women’s College provides a full range of academic and extracurricular experience, including 10 nationally competitive varsity sports, national sororities and honor societies, and outlets for artistic expression and community service.
