Fort Bend Christian Academy names 2014 Valedictorian and Salutatorian
The commencement ceremony for the 17th graduating class of Fort Bend Christian Academy will take place on May 30, 2014.
Trevor Jamison, Fort Bend Christian Academy Valedictorian, will attend Rice University, and plans to major in biochemistry and cellular biology.
Trevor has been chosen to be in the Rice/Baylor College of Medicine Scholars Program which assures him a spot in the 2018 entering class of Baylor College of Medicine (approximately 1500 students apply for this program, of those about 300 are accepted to Rice, then 37 finalists interviewed, and 10 are granted acceptance to the program).
Among his many honors, Trevor is a National Merit Finalist, an AP Scholar with Distinction, has been selected for the M.D. Anderson King Foundation Summer Research Program, won the TAPPS 4A State Biology and Science Championships, is a leader in numerous school organizations, and is active in the community with over 700 service hours during his high school years.
Trevor is the son of Debbie and Bill Jamison of Missouri City.
Hutson Burg, Fort Bend Christian Academy Salutatorian, will attend the University of Texas, and plans to major in chemical engineering. He has been accepted to UT’s Engineering Honors Program and the Cockerell School of Engineering.
He is an Eagle Scout, has been involved in the National English Honor Society, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and is a member of both the TAPPS 4A State Academic Team and the State Choir.
Hutson is the son of Leslee Burg of Sugar Land.
