3rd Annual Sugar Land Kids Fish set for May 17

Calling all kids! Mark calendars for Saturday, May 17 and head over to Sugar Land Memorial Park, 15300 University Blvd., for the 3rd Annual Sugar Land Kids Fish Event.

The free tournament begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 11 a.m. An awards ceremony will follow, and trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in the following categories: 5 and younger, 6-9 years old, 10-12 years old and 13-16 years old.

Want to fish, but don’t know how? No problem! Everything needed will be provided – from rods and reels to the bait and instructions.  Participants may bring chairs or blankets to sit on, as well as their own rods and reels.

If fishing all morning stirs the appetite, take advantage of MonsterPBJ, a gourmet peanut butter and jelly food truck, and Kona Ice, a snow cone truck.  Food and beverage options will be available for purchase.

Also planned are carnival games, activity booths, giveaways and much, much more.
