Culinary Arts students create festive meal for FBISD Board Members
In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, senior Culinary Arts students from FBISD’s Technical Education Center prepared a festive, three-course meal for the Board of Trustees to enjoy prior to their May 5 workshop.
The meal included: (appetizers) Mexican corn salad, guacamole dip, chips and salsa; (main course) chicken and pork tamales, Mexican meat muffins, beef chimichangas with chili sauce, refried beans and Spanish rice; (dessert) Mexican sweet cake and molten lava cake; and (beverages) fiesta punch and ice-cold water.
“The meal and presentation were absolutely wonderful and we appreciate the culinary students for preparing the special meal for us,” said Jenny Bailey, FBISD Board Member.
