Free spay neuter clinic to be held in Missouri City

SNAP, an organization which offers cat and dog spaying or neutering, will be in Missouri City on Tuesday May 20  at the city Animal Shelter, 1923 Scanlin Road. If you have a dog or cat that has not yet been spayed or neutered and you meet their qualifications, SNAP will do the surgery for free in their mobile vet clinic. The clinic will also provide free rabies vaccination with the surgery.

Because the number of surgeries that can be performed is limited, clients will be selected from a lottery which will be held between 6:30 and 7:30 am.

To qualify for the free service clients must bring proof of participation in one of the following programs: food stamps, free lunch programs, Medicaid, major VA disability, section 8 housing, SSI/SSD, TANF, WIC or prove you are 65 or older.

Do not give your pet food or water after 10 pm the night before. All animals must be brought on a leash or in a carrier.
