Woman robbed on Grants Lake.

Friday afternoon shortly after 2 p.m., Sugar Land police were called to the 2700 block of Grants Lake Boulevard after a 43 year old woman was accosted and robbed after driving home from a bank.

According to Sugar Land police spokesman Doug Adolph, the woman got out of her car headed toward the mailboxes when she noticed two men in a blue Honda Accord parked nearby.  “The passenger exited the vehicle, forced her to the ground and stole her van,” said Adolph.

A substantial amount of money from a family owned business was inside the van at the time of the robbery. Adolph said the robbery victim was not physically hurt. “She described the passenger as a black male in his 20s, clean shaven, with an average build and wearing a gray hoodie and dark sweat pants.  She described the driver of the suspect vehicle as black, average build and wearing a hoodie.
