Sugar Land Middle School (SLMS) health classes competed in the 2013-2014 “Teens in the Driver Seat” (TDS) Cup contest and placed 3rd in the state in the Junior High School division.

The contest is sponsored by State Farm and awards TDS Program schools for spreading the message about safe driving and saving lives.

Participating schools earn points for completing project outreach activities and achieving program goals. The school to accumulate the most points at the end of the year is declared the winner and receives the TDS Cup.

As third-place winner of the contest, SLMS received a $250 cash award and a plaque.
