When “Slip and Fall” goes splat!

By LeaAnne Klentzman

A pair of sisters and a couple of associates have ended up splatted on the windshield of life after their “Slip and Fall” plot was uncovered by Garden Ridge Pottery.

Seems home décor group Garden Ridge Pottery has had the misfortune of employing a pair of thieve ’n Katy sisters and a collection of associates with a stellar “Slip and Fall” plan.

According to the Federal courts, the “girls” scheme had the potential for payouts of 2 million – quite a gig, if you can get it. See, one sister worked as a manager for Garden Ridge who oversaw payment approval for injury claims. Her sister, well she worked as a claims adjuster for the third party vendor who investigated the “Slip and Fall” claims for Garden Ridge…do we see a pattern here? So, the plan was …the sisters would get the payments approved and split the proceeds with their all too willing “victims.”

In total, 26 false claims were filed to the tune of $2,063,436 in payouts.

Yep, Ladies, your “Slip and Fall” was lucrative enough for the cruse circuit; it has not gone…SPLAT!

We hear tell, so far…20 years worth!
