Winners named in 2014 Fort Bend ISD Bilingual Spelling Bee

Congratulations to the winners of the 2014 Fort Bend ISD Bilingual Spelling Competition! Winning this year’s event were: David Armijo of Ridgegate Elementary School, 1st place; Gloria Perez of Armstrong Elementary School, 2nd place; and Pedro Villatoro of Mission West Elementary School, 3rd place.

They competed against approximately 27 other students representing 15 FBISD elementary campuses. Students competing at the District event qualified after being named winners of their campus bilingual spelling bees.

“We appreciate all the parents, teachers, principals, assistant principals and District administrators who attended the event to support our student spellers,” said Rosario Iglesias, Bilingual/ESL Facilitator.
