Evan Carothers awarded Eagle Scout rank

Evan Carothers received his Eagle Award at a Boy Scout Court of Honor held on Sunday, May 4, 2014. The ceremony was held at the Parkway United Methodist Church in Sugar Land, Texas.  The master of ceremonies was Mr. Long Pham, former Scoutmaster Troop 38.

Carothers joined Troop 38 in February 2007, when he bridged from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. He was also a member of Troop 826, Manama, Bahrain. In these years, Carothers held positions as troop guide, librarian, patrol leader, assistant patrol leader, senior patrol leader, junior leader.

Carothers was active in Troop 38 activities, having attended troop campouts, especially the high-adventure ones like a trip to Alaska, and meetings since he joined.  He is a member of the Order of the Arrow and also earned his 5 Year Service Star and World Conservation.  Evan Carothers is a senior at Stephen F. Austin High School and plans to attend Texas Tech in the fall.. Evan Carothers’s parents are Mark and Karen Carothers.
