QVMS RaiderMath takes 1st place in 5A Math at state competition

On April 4, a record number of 122 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students from Quail Valley Middle School Academy for Gifted/Talented traveled to San Antonio to compete in the Texas Math and Science Coaches Association State Competition.

Each student qualified in either number sense, calculator, general math and-or general science. Over 2,500 students from various 1A to 5A school districts attended.

The Houston Chapter of Math Counts is the largest chapter in Texas. This organization is supported by the Texas Association of Professional Engineers to promote advanced math and problem solving.
