Highlands Elementary School hosted its 23rd Annual Multicultural Parade of Nations and Festival that welcomed many students, staff, parents and community members to a celebration of cultures.

This year’s theme, “Diversity at Work: Our School was Built on It,” reflects the school’s proud heritage of embracing people representative of cultures from around the world.

The theme was prominent throughout the celebration and appeared on t-shirts that were proudly worn by parents and staff.

The annual event gives participants an opportunity to share in Highlands’ rich culture by taking part in a parade of nations highlighting students and teachers from all grade levels dressed in ethnic clothing, an assembly featuring sing-a-longs and slide presentations, and a festival of cultural foods, games, rides and other fun activities for families to enjoy.
