THEY DO “NOT” JUST PATROL AND EAT DONUTS: The 911 call indicated that an elderly lady had died at home and the caller was her distraught daughter. The responding Police Officers helped make the necessary calls to ensure the proper people were notified. The daughter was not left alone to await the arrival of the funeral home ambulance. Several of the officers remained. One of the officers was a “rookie” (only on the job one week) and already he could exhibit those much needed words of comfort.
