Summer schedule of children’s programs at Sugar Land library announced
Fort Bend County Libraries’ Sugar Land Branch Library, 550 Eldridge, presents a variety of free children’s programs — Mother Goose Time, Toddler Time, Story Time, and School-Age programs — every month. The programs are free and open to the public. The summer schedule for July is as follows:
Toddler Time – Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:15 am — offers caregiver/child activities, stories and songs for older babies, from 12 to 36 months of age. Program dates are July 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, and 31.
Pre-school children, 3 to 6 years of age, will enjoy Story Time, where they hear stories, watch movies, and participate in age-appropriate craft activities, beginning at 10:15 am each Tuesday and at 1:30 pm each Wednesday. Program dates are July 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, and 30.
Pajama Night Story Time — which takes place every Monday at 7:00 pm — gives families an evening option for some activities presented during the day time. Program dates are July 7, 14, 21, and 28.
Family Programs take place every Thursday, beginning at 2:00 pm, in the summer.
Families with children of all ages are invited to participate in activities, crafts, films, and games. The July schedule is as follows:
- July 3 – Game-a-palooza
- July 10 – Crafternoon
- July 17 – Frozen Fun Festival
- July 24 – Buddy Check-up
- July 31 – Game Fest
The Middle School Programs, which take place every Tuesday at 3:00 pm in the summer, are designed to give youth in grades 6 and up an opportunity to participate in activities of particular interest to young teenagers. The July schedule is as follows:
- July 1 – Battle of the Books
- July 8 – Zombies!
- July 15 – Game Day
- July 22 – Duct-Tape Creation
- July 29 – Summer Sundae Spectacular
