The Ladybugs spread lots of cheer to the elderly in Stafford
The Ladybugs of Fort Bend County fluttered in to the Stafford Community Center to spread lots of cheer for Father’s Day with the patrons there. During the lunch hour for the elderly who come there daily for fun and entertainment, as well as a nicely prepared hot meal, the Ladybugs were able to provide many hugs, lots of laughter, fun games, delightful prizes, and they also provided cheerful songs, which the elderly patrons enjoyed participating in.
At each facility that the Ladybugs visit for the mentally challenged, elderly and sick in the Fort Bend area, the patrons are always eager to see them and always enjoy the Ladybugs’ visit. The Ladybugs wanted to be sure to let the patrons know that they were being thought about during the Father’s Day celebrations.
They also provided post-Mother’s Day gifts to the ladies at the facility as well. If you are interested in becoming a Ladybug and giving back with some of your time or if you would like to donate needed items such as toiletries, snow globes, figurines, Mardi Gras beads, and gently used cocktail jewelry, please contact the founder/coordinator, Vicki Latham, at firstname.lastname@example.org or go to meetup.com.
