Kristi Corbitt has been named Fort Bend ISD’s Director of Elementary Curriculum. She began her career in education 10 years ago as a teacher at Seven Hills Elementary in Northwest ISD. In 2009, she was named assistant principal at Walker Station Elementary School and also served in that position at Burton Elementary School prior to receiving her new position.

“I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to support and work collaboratively with FBISD teachers and staff in creating a positive learning environment where students can reach high academic goals,” said Corbitt. “In my new position, I will continue to support school staff as we work toward our common goal.”

Corbitt received her Master of Arts in Education in Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio and her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas.
