The Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL) along with Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital (MHSLH) presented the FBJSL Spring Fling “Black & White Bash” on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Sugar Land Skeeters Insperity Club at Constellation Field. The sold out event was a tremendous success and raised a record breaking $168,000 for Fort Bend Family Promise and the FBJSL Community Assistance Fund (CAF).

Guests enjoyed a fabulous evening of casino games, dancing, auction, a seated dinner, and even had a chance to knock one out of the park with batting practice.  Guests were also welcomed with a surprise guest, Shaquille O’Neal, at the event.

This year’s Co-Chairs, Melissa Hayslip, KK West and Johnnie Wright, along with the FBJSL Spring Fling Committee are grateful for the support of our  presenting  sponsor, Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital and the numerous other businesses and individuals whose generous sponsorships and contributions helped to make the 2014 FBJSL Spring Fling “Black & White Bash” a huge success.

Fort Bend Family Promise provides shelter, meals, and comprehensive support to families that have lost their homes due to unfortunate circumstances through a collaborative effort with local church congregations.

The FBJSL CAF allows the League to extend its financial support further in the community by providing grants of up to $5,000 to charitable organizations in Fort Bend County to address a critical or basic need, fund a pilot program or expand a significant service to the Fort Bend community.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 11, 2015 for next year’s FBJSL Spring Fling to be held once again at Sugar Land Skeeters Insperity Club.  You do not want to miss out on this fabulous event!
