Move along…

By LeaAnne Klentzman

Divorce, Un-coupling, call it whatever you want… but when a divorce is pending, most folks are finished living together and move along.

Not necessarily, in the winter of 2012 a Richmond man was mad at his soon to be ex-wife for kicking him out of their home. Fight or not, as life necessitated, the woman left the house to take kids to school and go to work…leaving her soon to be ex at the house.

So, he got his wish, although alone, he was King of his home. But that wasn’t good enough. So, he spent the day calling his soon to be ex at work threatening to burn down the house.

Imagine her surprise when later that day, he calls and tells her the house in on fire! But it was not his fault, it was a faulty lamp. Yeah, well, not only did the soon to be ex not buy that story, neither did the Fort Bend Fire Marshall.

After the fire was out, Mr. King of the Flaming Castle spent the evening rollerblading through the neighborhood while his soon to be ex spent hours at a nearby McDonalds arranging for a place for the children to sleep. Umm, Humm…

After being convicted by a jury, he was given a 10 year prison sentence for Arson.

Well, Mr. King of the Flaming Castle, seems the citizens of Fort Bend County have found you a place to live… for a while!
