Texas Instruments’ formal opening this month

It seems like it was just the other day that Texas Instruments announced it would be moving its operations from Stafford down the street to Sugar Land. The Dallas-based company broke ground last year in April and began constructing the 160,000-square-foot facility on 7-acres at the northeast corner of U.S. Highway 59 and University Boulevard.

Today, the new site, designed by Powers Brown Architecture and built by E.E. Reed Construction, represents what some have termed the newest corporate building in Sugar Land.

It already underwent a sneak preview and the formal opening will take place towards the end of the month.

The $35 million facility is expected to employ about 375 people.
