Missouri City announces Republic Services recycling collection days change

In keeping with its commitment to provide continuous quality service, Republic Services is changing recycling collection days from Tuesday and Wednesday to Friday for the following subdivisions: Plantation Settlement and Plantation Trails in First Colony, and the Vicksburg MUD. Currently, Plantation Trails and Vicksburg MUD receive recycling pickups on Tuesday, and Plantation Settlement receives pickups on Wednesday.

The new Friday recycling collection schedule for all of the subdivisions will help to improve customer service citywide, said Todd Fawcett, General Manager of Hauling. Republic “values our partnership with Missouri City and appreciates the opportunity to provide superior service to thousands of homeowners,” Fawcett said. “All other First Colony neighborhoods in Missouri City are on a Friday pickup schedule for recycling and this change is reflective of our internal quality controls to ensure consistency.”

The first day of pickup on the new recycling service schedule will take place on Friday, July 25.
