Missouri City Branch Library children’s programs resume fall schedule after break
Missouri City Branch Library, 1530 Texas Parkway, presents a variety of free children’s programs — Toddler Time, Story Time, Pajama Night Story Time, and After-School Breaks — every month. These programs are free and open to the public. The new fall schedule will resume during the third week in August.
Toddler Time — Tuesdays at 10:15 am — offers caregiver/child activities, stories and songs for older babies, from 12 to 36 months of age. Program dates are August 19 and 26 ONLY this month.
Pre-school children, 3 to 6 years of age, will enjoy Story Time, where they hear stories, watch movies, and participate in age-appropriate craft activities, on Thursdays at 10:15 am, and on Saturdays at 10:30 am. Program dates are August 2, 21, 23, 28, and 30.
Pajama Night Story Time — Mondays at 7:00 pm — gives families an evening option for the activities presented during the daytime. The program dates are August 18 and 25 ONLY this month.
The After-School Break — crafts, movies, stories, and more for school-aged children in 1st through 5th grades – normally takes place on the 2nd Thursday, beginning at 4:30 pm. The After-School Break will not take place in August. The program will resume in September.
“Hora de Cuentos Bilingüe,” a bilingual Story Time for Spanish-speaking families, takes place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month, beginning at 7:00 pm. Families with children of all ages will hear stories in Spanish and English, and will enjoy a variety of other activities such as songs, crafts, and movies.
