Two issues with your article. I believe in Occam’s Razor. You touched on it at the end of your article with the concept of “marshall” who’s identity is unknown except to administration. I agree that 40 hours of training is insufficient. However, I also disagree that 6 months is hardly necessary.

The teacher is not being trained to know “the law” as LEO’s must. Their purpose would be very simple. They would apply force only when potentially deadly force is being wielded by an assailant. I take the same position with pilots on airliners. The simple solution is usually the best.
