The 40 Days for Life campaigns in Stafford and Rosenberg, organized by Christian Voices for Life of Fort Bend County, ended Saturday evening, March 31. Over 140 people from ten churches prayed for over 725 hours in Stafford, and 24 people from 4 churches participated in Rosenberg, each praying outside the local Planned Parenthood facilities.
The Stafford Planned Parenthood on Greenbriar Drive offers chemical abortions, and the Rosenberg clinic refers abortion clients to other PP clinics. Both clinics offer “emergency contraception” which can end the life of a young embryo by preventing him or her from implanting in the mother’s uterus. “Our prayer volunteers were faithful to their prayer times in rain or shine, and we are very pleased that all three priests from St. Laurence participated at least once in spite of their busy schedules,” said Marie McCoy, Executive Director of Christian Voices for Life.
Campaign participants celebrated the conclusion of the campaign Saturday evening at a dinner at St. Laurence Catholic Church. Photos were displayed from the local campaign as well as from similar events around the country and around the world.
