Let’s Rock and Roll!!!! That’s right! It’s time again for Music Fest 2011. This year’s event, presented by Chevron, features Starship with Mickey Thomas and Bobby Kimball of Toto.
Music Fest will be held on Saturday, August 13 at the Stafford Centre at 8 p.m. The Pre-Event Sponsor Party kicks off at 6:30 p.m.
“Everyone gets a little nostalgic when they hear us say that Mickey Thomas from Starship and Toto’s Bobby Kimball will be the night’s entertainment,” commented Noel Mascarenhas, Music Fest chairman. “People are pretty excited, plus it’s all for an excellent cause – helping the survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and their children.”
Music Fest is an irresistible celebration of life’s simple pleasures: food, wine, and music. In the past, the event has included names such as ABBA the Concert, KC & the Sunshine Band, the Neville Brothers, Scott Gertner, George Benson, Joyce Cooling, Little Richard, Kenny G and Michael Bolton. This event raises $90,000 annually to benefit the survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault served by the Women’s Center.
