On February 29 Fort Bend Lawyers Care held its 2nd annual “Justice for All” luncheon presented by The West Law to honor its many volunteers. Master of Ceremonies, Bill Balleza of KPRC 2 News entertained the crowd and Justice Harriet O’Neill, The Supreme Court of Texas praised the
work of the many local volunteers. Those providing pro bono services to the needy are her “American Idol”.
FBLC collaborates with Child Advocates of Fort Bend, Fort Bend County Women’s Center, The Arc of Fort Bend County, and Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels to provide free legal services to those citizens who qualify financially. Sharon Steckler was presented a plaque for Volunteer
Lawyer of the Year and Suzanne Bartholomew was named Non-Lawyer Volunteer of the Year. This year’s “Justice for All” Luncheon had a record year with over 290 in attendance.
