The Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Guest Conductor, HÈctor Ag¸ero, Jr., Director of Orchestras and Chamber Music HSPVA (High School for the
Performing and Visual Arts), will introduce the winners of the Houston Music Teachers Association/Houston Young Artist Concerto Competition, at its concert on Saturday, March 29, at 7:00 p.m., First United Methodist Church, 3900 Lexington Boulevard at Murphy Road, Missouri City.
He will conduct the Fort Bend Symphony in the following program: Finlandia, Op. 26 by Jean Sibelius; Piano Concerto No. 24 (I. Allegro) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, cadenza by Dr. Dariusz Pawlas, featuring Joey Sliepka, piano; Nimrod from Enigma Variations by Edward Elgar; Piano
Concerto, Op. 54 (1st mvmt.) by Robert Schumann, featuring Yang Zhou, piano; Symphony No. 5 in E minor, Op. 64 (IV. Finale) by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
