Coming out of
hibernation
The current
flu season seems to have everyone down in the dumps lately,
which is not a great place to be, especially when the sun is
out and it is heating up. Taking medication takes time and
doctor visits cost money, but maybe the one thing we all
need to do is slow down and take some time to relax. Fast
traffic, deadlines, and all the things going on are putting
a reel in my head. It could be time to reel in our lives,
put them back in order, and cast them back out again for a
fresh start.
One thing
about spring/summer time is the spring cleaning that
naturally happens this time of year to clean out the dust
and clutter that may have accumulated. Of course I am all
for cleaning up from the winter season, although my room
currently exhibits what could be a bear’s den after
hibernation. I always like to use the “everything in a
pile until I can’t find things” method, but my mom doesn’t
seem to like that one too much. It must really be a pain for
bears to clean out their dens after hibernation, because I
have the hardest time even getting my clothes in order.
Taking time to get everything sorted is a real bother, but
it always feels good to have some space to move around in or
put a new pile in.
A good idea
for this season could be to brighten up my space with a new
color scheme, but that has yet to be planned. Taking a fresh
look at everything is the best way to go and that is exactly
what I am going to do. We could all start by clearing out
our stuffy noses and heads, but trying a spring clean might
do just the job for mom’s headache. The most tedious part
of getting ready for the summer season is clearing out all
the leaves from our pool, because you could clean them out
and by the end of the day a whole new tree might have shed
right back into the pool again. My favorite thing is all the
people who have leaf blowers and just blow the leaves around
and around their garden, there must be some trick to it,
because to me it kind of looks like their moving the pile
from one spot to another with no real end result. I’ll
test out that leaf blower concept and get back to ya’ll on
that one.
While talking about nature
and bears, I would like to take some time to appreciate the
non-humid weather we are having right now, because we all
know it’s not going to last for too long. Time to start
stocking those hair products, or be prepared for some major
hair frizzing in a few weeks. Hopefully, our heads will all
unclog in the next few weeks and we can focus on getting
everything done before the summer sneaks up on us. Have a
fabulous week! |
