Carrabba’s adopts Sugar Land Police Chief
“Adopt-A-Cop” trading card fundraiser welcomes first sponsor

The Sugar Land Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association has kicked off the “Adopt-a-Cop” Sponsorship program for the 4th edition of the Children’s Trading Card program, with the first “Adopt-a-Cop” sponsorship: Rocky Groves, General Manager of Carrabba’s Italian Grill has “Adopted-a-Cop” - Sugar Land Police Department Chief, Steve Griffith!

An officer can be sponsored for $100 for 1000 trading cards, and there are only 150 sponsorship opportunities available. Sponsors will be featured by name and company on the trading card.

The Trading Card program has been extremely successful in its three prior offerings, and the SLCPAAA is proud to present the program again, which is set to launch in September 2008. Elementary and middle school age children will collect trading cards from Sugar Land Police officers, and be eligible for program prizes.

The Children’s Trading Card program supports the Sugar Land Police Department’s mission by providing a way to enhance the relationship between the Sugar Land Police Department and the community, by focusing on positive interaction between Police Officers and school age children.

We urge you to take this opportunity to sponsor your very own police officer.

“Adopt-a-Cop” by contacting Glen Gill at 281-265-5000 or Sylvia Bloomer at 281-275-2582 or email the SLCPAAA at cpaaa@sugarlandtx.gov
