Pack your bags and prepare to hit the open road! The Fort Bend Regional Council on Substance Abuse, Inc. (FBRC), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing drug prevention programs for thousands of youth each year in Fort Bend County, announced today plans for its annual
Fort Bend Corporate Challenge bowling tournament themed “Bowling Across America.”
“Bowling Across America”, sponsored by Union Pacific Railroad Company, will be held on May 17 at Stafford Lanes at 4919 South Main from 12 to 3 p.m. During the event, guests will be taken on a road trip across the U.S., complete with famous destinations, classic music, and travel
decor. Local companies are encouraged to sign up and build their bowling team to compete with other area companies for the 2008 Corporate Challenge Title. Last year, Schlumberger took the title and will return this year in effort to recapture it.
“We are thrilled to announce this year’s Fort Bend Corporate Challenge and the ‘Bowling Across America’ theme,” said Lisa Poynor, Executive Director of FBRC. “The Challenge gives us a wonderful opportunity to honor those companies that have supported us through the years while
raising funds to help at-risk youth in our community!”
Participation starts at $500, which includes two games for a four-member team and lunch. Additional non-bowling guest entry is $25. Corporate sponsorship levels start at $1,000.
Sponsors of “Bowling Across America” include the Title Sponsor, Union Pacific, and returning sponsor Schlumberger.
