In the upcoming months there are some exciting prospects to look forward to including, but not limited to summer vacation time and prom, and all this election stuff that is going on in the news. First and foremost is summer vacation, the most
important event for almost every high school student. It may not be an event as much as liberation from the repetitive daily routine of school. A lot of people are also fired up about prom, the last school function for many seniors and a way to let loose. There are many reasons to go and only
a few not to, regardless, tickets are selling well and plans are coming into the works. Does planning so far ahead make the night more enjoyable or wear you down at the end of the day? One thing I know for sure is that I will most likely be looking for a limo a week before prom.
School is something we have to do, and we all know how much we enjoy learning every day, but the repetitive routine of the school does eventually compare to the end of the summer when you start running out of things to do. We should all look for ways now that we could spice up the
summer routine and maybe try some different things like scuba diving, which sounds like a thrilling experience. There are some negatives to being gone for the summer that we all know such as, the people you don’t see all summer, events you miss because you are away. Even with so much time,
sometimes it’s hard to fit everything in that you might want to do. Road trips sound like a lot of fun to me, going on a long drive to somewhere with all of your friends. I might try it some time if I wasn’t so positive that I would end up completely lost out in the middle of nowhere.
An event that is buzzing around the school right now is prom, and boy is there some planning going into prom night. We could forget to do a project or forget a class even exists, but when it comes to events such as this we tap into a special part of our brain that stays active 24
hours a day. There are a lot of beautiful dresses out there, and buying dresses is a big part of the night, but from experience I have learned that certain styles of dresses just suit different people better iI’s all about how you want to look. Schedules and calendars are flying off the walls
with things to do, but sitting back and taking some time to relax is always a good thing to do.
The last events in most of our calendars are the research papers that everyone is scrambling to get done. No wonder everyone’s trying so hard to finish them, we have to compile a lot of information into one paper, while keeping our citations and guidelines right, or we could end
up with a less than successful grade. I am personally taking it in steps, write a little bit, let it sit for a while, the usual, with an all-nighter and some fill in the blank magic, my paper will be ready to go by the deadline, and I hope yours is too.
So much coming up, so little time, or maybe too much time? Either way we are all looking for things to fill our calendars in with, hopefully fun and exciting things. I know I have enough going on for now to keep me on my toes, but that is what makes everything fun and worth trying. Let’s all just
get through by keeping our head above water and swimming to shore by the time summer vacation comes along so we can all lay on the beach and tan together.
