Bad Karma?

By LeaAnne Klentzman

Ya know, that old saying ...”Run like you stole it” is around for a reason!

Last week a Sugar Land police officer responded to a car burglary. While out talking with the victim, the burglar trolled back by to take a gander at his handwork – fool!

Sure ‘nuff he recognized the cop, the cop recognized him. Gotta love it.

Anyway, when the crook realizes that the cop is on to him, he sped away. Not to be outdone, the police officer follows. Still in the process of trying to catch up to the fleeing crook the cop can only watch as the crook looses control as he takes a turn ...thus the crook and his truck looked like a tumbleweed in a strong West Texas wind, over and over they went.

Umm, hum, bad karma?

Just in case you were wondering...no one was hurt and the crook bolted from his STOLEN truck leaving all the loot bagged from the car burglary so the police could return it to the rightful owner. The crook was nabbed shortly thereafter.

Hope they add failure to maintain a single marked lane and failure to control speed to the laundry list of charges Karma man faces. Yeah, not nice, but if you were caught in that traffic .....gratifying.
