The Sugar Land Police Department is looking for a woman who stole a $26,500 ring from Ben and Bridge Jewelry in First Colony Mall, 16500 Southwest Freeway, on Dec. 28.

The woman entered the store about noon, dropped the ring while placing it on her finger and returned a fake to an employee.

The suspect was described as a black female, 30 to 40 years old, with a heavy build and short brown hair.
