The Lamar Educational Awards Foundation is offering three $500 scholarships for students planning on pursing a degree in the field of education. A senior from each Lamar CISD high school will receive the
scholarship.
Forms are available from the counselor’s office at Lamar CHS, Terry High School and Foster High School or online at www.lcisd.org /departments/ccommunityrelations/LEAF.
L.E.A.F. is also awarding three one-time $500 scholarships to Lamar CISD paraprofessionals. Applicants must be a non-certified employee working toward a teaching certificate.
Lamar CISD employees who plan to work in the field of special education are elegible for the Vogelsang Scholarship. Applicants for this one-time $500 scholarship must be either a non-certified Lamar CISD employee pursing an elementary or secondary teaching certificate
with an endorsement in special education, or a Lamar CISD special education teacher or speech assistant pursuing a master’s degree in special education, speech pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy or educational diagnostician. Applications for the L.E.A.F. and Vogelsang
