Jena Lea West, a senior at Elkins High School has committed to play softball for Coach Ken Delcambre and the Galveston College Whitecaps. Jena earned 4 letters as an Elkins Lady Knight under Varsity Head Coach James McClanahan and Assistant Varsity Coach Amy Mattes. Jena was named Houston Chronicle Female Athlete of the Week in May 2007 and earned all-district honors last spring.
