Star Videos offers FBISD 2009 commencement ceremony

The Fort Bend Independent School District will be holding commencement exercises for 2009 graduating seniors on June 5 and 6 at the Toyota Center in Houston. For the seventh consecutive year, Star Video Digital Productions is offering professionally-produced DVDs of the entire event for all FBISD high schools.

Each school will receive a copy of the 2009 commencement ceremony on DVD with menu sections that allow for interactivity. These same videos are also available to the public for $35 each. The price includes applicable sales tax and shipping to the continental U.S.

“The price of everything is constantly on the rise, but we’re happy to report that we have not had a price increase for the last two years,” explains Executive Producer Sherry Carter.

The video captures the entire ceremony, from the opening strains of “Pomp and Circumstance” through to the final Recessional. You’ll be able to see your favorite senior walk across the stage and receive their diploma. Carter explains, “We have a camera right on the stage, so it’s a very clear view of the event.

“This time of year, we get a lot of calls from parents about how to order,” says Carter. “We send flyers with order forms to all the schools to distribute to their seniors. Just mail or fax in your order. Or you can go to www.fbisdgradvideos.com  to place an order online,” she adds. “And we’ll also have a table set up to take orders at the La Branch entrance of the Toyota Center on the days of the event.

“There’s a lot going on for seniors this time of year, so many may not think to order. But it’s one of those things that I know many students will want to have as a memory in the future. I know I wish I had a copy of mine, but back when I graduated, the Earth’s crust was still cooling, and we didn’t have the technology,” Carter jokes.

“We package the DVDs in an album case with a full-color insert, so they can reside in with your regular DVD collection and makes a nice keepsake for years to come,” she adds.

If you missed ordering previous years, Star Video also offers DVDs going back as far as the 2003 on the website. Mail orders to Star Video Productions, 4655 Techniplex Drive, Suite 500 Stafford, TX 77477 or fax to 281-690-4250.
