FEEL
LIKE DIGGING UP SOME DIRT?
Are you new to
the area? Need some ideas on what to do with those flower beds? Would you like to grow
fresh herbs or vegetables? We have just the group for you! The Sugar Land Garden
Club was founded in 1932 and is open to anyone interested in gardening and
horticulture. Meetings are held at the Sugar Land Community Center, 226 Matlage Way, at
9:30 AM on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, from September through May. Just a few things
club members participated in last year included making dried topiaries, creating mosaic
stepping stones, touring the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, providing
Victorian flower arrangements for the Davis House during Texian Market Days, and assisting
the Brookwood Community in preparing for their December open house. We truly have
activities to interest everyone. Please check the
"Meetings Calendar"
on the third Tuesday of the month for details of our monthly
speaker. If you would like more information about the Sugar
Land Garden Club, please contact Tricia Bradbury at 281-242-2338.
