
Miss Susan Pamela Baitland and Mr.
Brandon Wayne Van Sickle were united in matrimony August 4,
2007, by the Rev. Ed Peterman at the First Evangelical
Lutheran Church in Houston. Dressed in a classic satin gown
overlaid with Alencon lace, the bride was escorted by Mr.
Robert J. Chandler, her late father’s best friend. The
bride’s attendants were Matron of Honor, Faith Baitland
MacAdams, Maid of Honor, Jennifer Barnes, and bridesmaids
Tara Miller, Tara Pfeiffer, Kristen Guinn, Kendra Smart,
Sarah McCoy, and Katy Graham. The groom’s attendants were
Scott Van Sickle, Brandon Baker, Ryan Paul, Bryan Presgrove,
Ben Albrecht, Brad Kana, Matt Villere, and Lawrence Baitland.
Ushers were Justin Harder, Dustin Cruse, Brian Randall, and
Brett Quiggle.
Following the double-ring ceremony,
family and friends enjoyed dinner and dancing at the
fabulous Hotel ZaZa. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s
parents hosted a rehearsal dinner for the wedding party and
out-of-town guests at the Cadillac Bar and Grill. Earlier
that day, a bridal luncheon at Brennan’s was hosted by Dr.
Pam Chandler, Mrs. Jerusha Bartay, Mrs. Ginger Shackett, and
Mrs. Debi Roberts.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Betty
Baitland and the late Mr. Larry Baitland of Sugar Land. The
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Van Sickle of The
Woodlands.
A graduate of Dulles High School, Susan
earned a B.A. from Texas State University and an M.Ed. from
the University of Houston. Brandon graduated from The
Woodlands High School and received a B.S. degree from Texas
A and M.
Following a honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta,
the couple will reside in their new home in Spring, Texas,
where Susan will teach at Broadway Elementary School and
Brandon resumes his position as a Petroleum Engineer for The
Oil and Gas Asset Clearing House.
