
Kelly Kaye Doan and Sean Frederick Hosley
were united in marriage on Saturday, November 18, 2006, at
seven o’clock in the evening at First United Methodist
Church in Fort Worth, Texas. The Reverend Linda McDermott
officiated the double-ring ceremony, with music by Bows and
Strings under the direction of Monda Weir and by organist
Aaron Medina. Vocalist was Katherine Jane Cleaveland,
college friend of the bride. Dinner and dancing followed at
The City Club of Fort Worth with music provided by Think Big
and the Bulletproof Brass.
The weekend festivities began with a
Bridesmaid’s Luncheon at Bistro Louise, hosted by Mrs.
Valerie Adams of Colleyville, the bride’s aunt. On the eve
of the wedding, a barbeque dinner and dance was held for all
wedding guests at The Stockman’s Club at Stockyards Station.
Country western performer Paul Eason and his band
entertained for the event. The morning after the wedding,
guests gathered for a Champagne Brunch at the Worthington
Hotel.
Kelly is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Malcolm Emmett Doan of Nacogdoches, Texas. She is the
granddaughter of Ms. Ruby Doan of Bedford, Texas; Ms.
Patricia Miksch of Nacogdoches, Texas; and Mr. and Mrs.
Norman Miksch of Beaumont, Texas.
Sean is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Allyn Hosley II of Sugar Land, Texas. He is the grandson of
Mr. and Mrs. Frederick W. Collister of Sugar Land and the
late Dorothy Dagnal Hosley of The Woodlands and the late
Richard Allyn Hosley of Houston.
Given in marriage by her parents and
escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal strapless
gown of diamond white Chantilly lace encrusted with a
delicate cartracery of seed pearls and crystals over bridal
satin in a soft golden tone. To complement her gown, the
bride wore a diamond white, finger-tip length veil and,
adorning her hair, a comb of Swarvoski crystals. To complete
her ensemble, the bride wore a single strand of pearls with
matching earrings, a pearl bracelet that was a gift from the
groom and a gold ring worn by her mother on her wedding day.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white hydrangeas and
cream roses.
Miss Leslie Anne Doan of College Station
served her sister as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs.
Michelle Hosley Bedient, sister of the groom, of Sugar Land;
Mrs. Alice Quinn Hosley, sister-in-law of the groom, of
Great Falls, Montana; Miss Ashley Nicole Baker and Miss
Caresse Laine Tankersley, both of Dallas; Miss Emily Kay
Brock, of Bellville; Mrs. Kelli Morris Fargason, of
Enterprise, Alabama; and, Miss Ellen Louise Pennington of
Washington, D.C. Members of the house party were Miss Lauren
Joan Drake of Houston; Miss Erika Whitney Hodge of College
Station; Miss Jill Elizabeth Kiesel and Miss Ellen Catherine
Kiesel, both of Nacogdoches.
Mr. Richard Allyn Hosley III, brother of
the groom, of Great Falls, Montana served as Best Man.
Groomsmen included Mr. Eric Philip Bedient, brother-in-law
of the groom, and Mr. Western Whitfield IV, both of Sugar
Land; Mr. Michael Patrick Doan, brother of the bride, and
Mr. Martial Robert Voitier III, both of College Station;
and, Mr. Jeremiah Richard Jackson, of Miramar, Florida.
Kelly is a graduate of Nacogdoches High
School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech
Communications from Texas A&M University where she was a
member of Pi Beta Phi. She is a Direct Marketing Coordinator
with Thomson Tax & Accounting in Fort Worth. Sean is a
graduate of Clements High School in Sugar Land. He received
his Associate of Arts in Film and Video degree from Rockport
College and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Texas A&M
University. He is employed as the Graphic Artist for Casa
Mañana, Inc. in downtown Fort Worth.
Following a wedding trip to France and
Spain, the couple now makes their home in Fort Worth.
