Miss Miranda Ashley Graham Weds Mr. Aaron Guido Richter


Miss Miranda Ashley Graham and Mr. Aaron Guido Richter were united in marriage on Saturday, June 16, 2007, at six o’clock in the evening at Trinity Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas. The Reverend Michael P. Dorn served as celebrant. The scripture reading, 1 Corinthians 13:1-13, was recited by Miss Lindi Eckerman, Miss Lauren Homeyer and Miss Lindsey Loxterkamp. Music for the ceremony was performed by Ms. Carla Barrows, Organist and Mr. James Jennings, Soloist.

Following the ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted a reception at Sweetwater Country Club. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Lopez Mexican Restaurant. Earlier in the day, a bridal luncheon was hosted by Ms. Mary Rockett, aunt of the bride, at Brennan’s of Houston.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Randall Graham of Missouri City, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Evelyn Graham of Cisco, Texas and the late Mr. James E. Graham and Mrs. Merle Rockett and the late Mr. Ervin F. Rockett.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Carl Xavier Richter, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Uptmore of San Antonio and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl X. Richter of LaVernia, Texas

Given in marriage by her parents and brothers and escorted by her father, the bride wore a satin and lace A-line strapless gown that was complemented with Austrian crystals, beading and an alluring sweetheart neckline. The chapel length train was embellished with a beautiful scalloped lace hemline. The bride looked radiant in her two-tiered crystal adorned veil. The bride’s parents presented her with a Swarovski crystal necklace and pendant which she wore. She carried an antique lace handkerchief given to her by her loving aunt and uncle, Ms. Mary Rockett and Mr. Thomas J. Wojciechowski along with an English sixpence in her shoe that was a gift to her by Mrs. Sheila Mulligan of Birkenhead, England and presented to her by Mrs. Mulligan’s granddaughter, Miss Lauren Homeyer. The bridal bouquet was an exquisite design of peonies, roses and orchids.

The bride was honored to have her childhood friends at her side along with the groom’s two sisters. Serving as the maid of honor was Miss Nicole Mozell. Bridesmaids were Miss Mindy Shearer, Miss Melissa Eckerman, Miss Susan Hunter, Miss Nancy Hunter, Miss Carla Richter and Miss Janell Richter. The bridesmaids wore sapphire gowns of European satin and champagne ribbon sashes. The dresses were accented with beautiful crystal necklaces and earrings designed by Mrs. Adrienne Goertz Lombardi of Fort Worth, another childhood friend of the bride. The groom’s cousins Miss Mollie Blake and Miss Delia Tedder served as Flower Girl and Little Miss in Waiting. The bride’s house party attendants were Miss Lindi Eckerman, Miss Lauren Homeyer and Miss Lindsey Loxterkamp. Ms. Nadine Isenegger of New York City, the bride’s sister-in-law, also served as an honored attendant.

Serving as the groom’s best man was his brother, Mr. Logan Richter. Groomsmen were Mr. Jack Andersen, Mr. Thomas Spoon, Mr. William Kandis, and the bride’s brothers Mr. Gregory Graham and Mr. J. Garrett Graham. The ring bearer was Master Joseph Blake. Serving as ushers were Mr. Scott Lutter and Mr. Jason Uptmore.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Elkins High School in Missouri City, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and minor in Dance. She is employed at Ft. Bend’s Dulles High School where she teaches communications applications and dance and also serves as Assistant Dance Director to the Dulles Dolls Dance Team.

The groom is a 1999 graduate of Churchill High School in San Antonio, Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and minor in Business in 2004. He earned his Masters in Health Administration from Texas A&M University’s Health Science Center School of Rural and Public Health in 2006. The groom is very proud to be a third generation Texas Aggie. He is currently employed by St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital System as a Logistics Analyst in Houston.

Following their honeymoon to the Hawaiian Islands, the couple will reside in Houston along with their basset hound Reggie.
