Miss Kristin Michelle Stout Weds Mr. Daniel Murray Edwards


Miss Kristin Michelle Stout and Mr. Daniel Murray Edwards were united in marriage on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at six o’clock in the evening. The traditional double ring ceremony was held at the Rice Memorial Chapel, Rice University, with the Reverend Daniel Callam, C.S.B., officiating. Music was provided by organist Ms. Lois Gurney and clarinetist Mr. David Schaider. Immediately following the ceremony, the parents of the bride honored the couple with an evening of dinner and dancing at the Cohen House. On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Maggiano’s Little Italy.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Dale Stout of Sugar Land, Texas and the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. John W. Clark, Jr. of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Jimmie Stout and the late Wesley B. Stout of Fort Worth, Texas.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael M. Edwards of Springfield, Virginia, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. O.M. Edwards of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless floor length gown of ivory silk organza featuring a fitted bodice and dropped waistline. The gown was adorned with embroidery, crystals and pearls and was complemented by a cathedral length veil accented with pearls. The bride wore a glistening tiara of Swarovski crystals and carried a bouquet of calla lilies, white roses, French tulips, and stephanotis.

Miss Julie Borland of Katy, Texas, served as Maid of Honor. Serving as the bride’s attendants were Miss Darla Goll of Richmond, Texas; Miss Allison Kelly of Austin, Texas; Miss Kerry Townsell of Dallas, Texas; and Miss Krista Walton of Glendale, California. The bridesmaids wore strapless floor length gowns of black satin embellished with crystals and sequins and carried bouquets of soft pink roses, orchids, tulips and calla lillies. Miss Courtney Severns of Keizer, Oregon served as the flower girl.

Mr. Chris Bahr of Houston, Texas served as Best Man. The groomsmen were Mr. Ankoor Patel of Boulder, Colorado; Mr. Michael Rios of Sugar Land, Texas; Mr. Erik Stark of Austin, Texas; and Mr. John-Wesley Stout, brother of the bride. The bride’s cousin, Master Landon Walker of Fort Worth, Texas, served as ring bearer.

Mrs. Edwards is a graduate of Saint Agnes Academy and The University of Texas at Austin, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Spanish. She is currently employed with Halliburton Energy Services. Mr. Edwards is a graduate of West Springfield High School in Springfield, Virginia and the University of Texas at Austin, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Geography. He is currently employed as a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley.

After a honeymoon in the Hawaiian Islands, the couple will make their home in Sugar Land, Texas.
