Congressman Pete Olson’s email
On their own website the AARP states that “AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that helps people turn their goals and dreams into real possibilities, strengthens communities and fights for the issues that matter most to families such as healthcare employment security and retirement planning.”
Since their days of fighting to pass Obamacare, seniors should have realized that AARP is nothing but a shill organization for the radical left, but if you had any doubt just take a look at their new push to help the failing Sierra Club remain afloat by pushing radical environmentalist legislation that kills American energy jobs.
It is time seniors across America recognize what AARP really is. Will you help shed light on their progressive agenda by sharing this story with your friends.
The AARP Sugar Land Chapter 4075 Board of Directors and Officers recently voted to respond to an email blast distributed by Congressman Pete Olson.
Dear Congressman Olson,
This letter is to convey our dismay with your recent email concerning AARP, indicating the organization, as a whole, endorses one specific elected official and one healthcare plan.
AARP Chapters are involved in performing vast community services through our local chapters. Our local Sugar Land Chapter has made donations of time and funds to the Sugar Land Police Officers Association, the Sugar land Fire Department Christmas Toy Drive, The Fort Bend Women’s Center, Wreaths Across American at Houston National Cemetery, volunteering at our local nursing home and much more.
We sponsor local candidate forums each year and allow both Republican and Democrat candidates the opportunity to speak to our membership. We are an informed and politically diverse organization.
The main focus of our Sugar Land Chapter is increasing our membership to allow us to do more for the seniors in our community. Your email was damaging to the reputation of the work we try to perform. We would request a retraction of your email and would appreciate your recognition of the vital contribution our members make each and every day.
