The day included double elimination tournaments for both volleyball and softball. The winner of the Competitive Division of Softball was “Team SWAT” of Gillen Pest Control and Team Paychex and Team Mud Dogs from Si Environmental both took top honors in their brackets.
As for volleyball, the OakBend Medical Center team took first place. Presenting sponsors included Legacy Ford, the Houston Methodist Hospital System the City of Missouri City and the T.W. Davis Family Y. Additional event sponsors included OakBend Medical Center, Community Health Choice, Rotary Club of Richmond, Gillen Pest Control, ERA Benes Realty, St. Luke’s Health, Elge, Inc., Medical Search, NewFirst National Bank and Pelican Energy Consultants.
“We are excited that this event is growing and has provided an opportunity for our supporters to engage their employees. We have received great support and plan to expand the tournament again next year,” said Cindy Reaves Director of Marketing and Development. “The volunteer committee consisted of Juan Martinez, Shane Mize, Ben Anders, Barbara Benes, Priscilla Salas, Gilbert Limones, Marilyn Long, Pam Cobb, Dana Merziovsky, Jess Stuart and Eloise Lucas. This was an awesome team of individuals to work with and they worked very hard to make this an exciting event,” Reaves added.
Softball teams included Legacy Ford, the T.W. Davis Family Y, Elge, Inc., Gillen Pest Control, St. Luke’s Health, Community Health Choice, Fort Bend Chamber Leadership Class 2014 – Leadership Little Leaguers, HealthSouth, Gurecky Manufacturing Service, Si Environmental, LLC, OakBend Medical Center, Houston Methodist Hospital, Paychex and employees of AccessHealth sponsored by the board of directors.
