Have you ever wondered what it is in the air that makes your head pound, your eyes water, and your throat feel like it’s on fire? Fort Bend County Libraries will present the program, “Allergies and What to Do About Them,” on Saturday, October 19, beginning at 11:00 am, in the Meeting Room at the First Colony Branch Library, 2121 Austin Parkway in Sugar Land.
Dr. Vikas Kancherla, an allergist with Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, will discuss many common allergens that affect people in the area, and treatment options that are available. He will also talk about children’s food allergies.
Dr. Kancherla is a Diplomat of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics. He recently completed a two-year fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.
The program is free and open to the public. For more information, call the branch library at 281-238-2800 or the library’s Public Information Office at 281-341-2677.
