Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home in the 16400 block of Noblewood Court in the Village of Oak Lakes subdivision in the northeast quadrant of Fort Bend County about 7:45 p.m., Monday evening to investigate an armed robbery.
According to Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel, the female victim told officers she had just pulled into her garage when a black male subject wearing a white mask over his face walked into her garage holding a semi-automatic handgun. Haenel said the victim’s husband was also in the garage at the time of the robbery.
According to Haenel, the armed intruder ordered both the husband and wife to the floor of the garage then demanded her purse, jewelry and car keys. The suspect was last seen fleeing south on Noblewood Court in the direction of Oyster Creek Elementary School.
At press time it remains unclear if the armed intruder actually took the victim’s car or just her keys or exactly how he fled the scene.
The suspect was described as a black male, about 5′ 10″ with a medium to heavy build. He was wearing a white t-shirt and green shorts.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office at 281-341-4665.
