Hightower High senior point guard Maddison Glass led the Hurricanes to the third round of the UIL Class 6A playoffs.
Now, the third-year varsity player is hopeful that Hightower can advance past the third round and into the State Championship for the first time since 2010 (when it finished second to Cy-Fair).
“We have to play with teamwork and play hard,” Glass said of the defending district champions.
Glass, one of five seniors on the Hightower roster, is averaging 11.3 points and 3.7 assists per game for the Hurricanes (18-6, 9-0), who visit Alief Elsik at 7 p.m. Friday.
